Tejas Trail Crew @
Indian Mound Ranch - Liberty Hill, TX

Trip: A day clearing overgrown trails and some new trail building
When:
December 1 - 3, 2026. 9am - 5pm each day.
Where: Indian Mound Ranch
500 Becker Rd, Liberty Hill, TX 78642
What:
This private ranch is a great location for our Mosaic Trail Run but needs some help to recover overgrown trails and build some new sections.

GENERAL DETAILS:

  • We will be working on recovering some overgrown trails and a bit of clean up from the flooding. This ranch’s trails don’t get much traffic outside our race weekend, so this trip will help get the trails ready for our race day!

  • Come solo. Bring your friends. Bring your kids. There’s light duty work as well as some proper trail building to do.

  • The ranch needs us. Please bring your friends.

  • If you can’t make it for the entire time, you can come and go for any part of it.

    • We will be out course marking and beginning setup each morning as well. So, it’s easiest if you can start at 9am. However if that time doesn’t work for you, we still welcome your help. Just let us know what times you’ll be there in the volunteer form. We will tell the ranch who will be on their property and have a plan to meet you when you arrive.

  • Everyone is welcome to do some trail running and riding after we’re done.

  • If you have a weed eater, please bring that (and lots of string, batteries or fuel, etc.). We can’t have too many weed eaters going.

  • We have everything else that would be needed. However, if you want to bring something, we can utilize loppers, hand saws, chainsaws, metal rakes, mcleods, pulaskies, fire rakes.

    • We won’t need light duty leaf rakes, shovels, pick axes, wheel barrows, or rock bars for this one.

  • If you’re in, sign up by clicking on the button below and following out the quick form.

    • If you sign up, we will be in touch closer to the trail work date(s), but know that we are counting on you being in. Please email us if you need to bail.

LOGISTICS DETAILS:

  • We will provide snacks and drinks. Please bring plenty of water for yourself. We will stay on trail the whole time, but you’re also never too far from where we’ll be parked so you can go back to your vehicles at any point in time.

  • We will park at the race hub area. Under the big historic trees. When you pull onto their property, continue along the main flat dirt road (it’s well-maintained, don’t worry). You’ll come to a railroad crossing. Be careful, it is a live track with no guard when trains come. You can get hit if you aren’t paying attention. As soon as you drive over the train tracks, park on the right side of the road in the field.

  • It will be free to get onto the ranch, and you can enjoy a run or ride after we get the trails opened up.
