Like Cactus Rose, this race has NO Aid Station support.
We will have Ice, Water & Shelter at each Aid Station. But that's it. This is all about you taking care of yourself & the other runners out there.
It's beautifully simplistic!
We will have Medical Staff & Amenities at the Start/Finish Area.
Please Read The Race Doc Before Registering
A Tinaja (/tɪˈnɑːhə/) is a rock formation that has been eroded by water over a long period of time, that then can store ever-so-important water in arid environments.
With all it's waterfalls, streams, rivers, springs & moving water; Colorado Bend is notorious for these incredible formations.
Tinajas is the perfect name for this event. This trail running experience has been created to offer participants a beautiful & difficult trail reality. Just like the Tinaja out in the wild, we hope this weekend provides you with something magnificent...giving you something you need. A break from the complexities of everyday occurrences, reminding you to notice the simple & soulful aspects of life. Join us for the morning, or for the whole weekend. Several distances to choose from. Many stories to tell afterward!

Note from Tinajas Runner:
I just wanted to thank you for putting on such a great race this past weekend! While I’m not new to endurance sports, Tinajas was my first trail race. Everything from race sign-up to crossing the finish line was excellent. It was a beautiful venue and a bad-a$$ course. You really did an awesome job marking/flagging the course that I never felt lost or off-track. Every time I saw a confidence flag, I appreciated you even more. I really enjoyed the vibe/atmosphere of the race itself and start/finish line area. Good stuff.
Also, thanks for putting on the kid’s race. It was great that my son and daughter had something to do while waiting on me to finish. They haven’t stopped talking about winning first and second place. A medal and a squishy ball goes a long way with kiddos.
I’m glad I chose this as my first trail race and it definitely won’t be my last. So, thanks for that.
