Save on Race Registration
We don't offer a lot of discounts. Our prices are very fairly priced for the level of safety, on course support, markings, time spent from our small staff, and swag quality we provide for all of our races. However, we do realize money is a factor in decisions we all make. We hope the following items help you, your friends, and family all get to enjoy as many miles with us as possible!
VOLUNTEER
The Basics:
Volunteering gets you free races.
Volunteering at our events is not only amazingly fun and gets you connected with some amazing life-long friends, but it also means you get to race future events for free!

REFERRALS
The Basics:
When you sign up for a race, use the simple and quick integrated process to get friends to join you. If you succeed, you’ll get money back.
The Details:
When you register for a race, your confirmation email includes a Referral link that is unique to you.
Email, post to social media, and text that link inviting your buddies to join you on race day.
If you get 3 friends to sign up for that race through your link, your credit card gets auto-refunded. Which can add up fast!
up to $20 for 3 half marathons and shorter.
$25 for 3 longer than half marathons.
YOUTH RUNNERS
The Basics:
We love seeing the younger generations falling in love with trail running and all that goes with it!
We offer youth discounts for our Open races, for everyone 19 & Younger.
We always offer a low-cost Youth 1 Mile race at each of our events for the younger children.
The Details:
For the younger children, you are more than welcome to try out our Youth 1 Mile untimed race at any of our events. It’s available on each Registration page, per event. See more details on our Youth Page
We are proud to be a part of the Youth Trail Initiative, brought to you by ATRA & USATF
If you see this badge on an event page, that means that event is a part of the Youth Trail Series, which is a growing nation-wide series of events that are seeking to help grow youth trail runners, to have more fun and be involved at the recreational level, and to ultimately lead to more competitive runners repping Team USA at international trail running races!
For any registrant who is 19 & Under, your registration will automatically be discounted 15-20%. No code is needed. This is good for all our races of 10 miles and shorter.
FAMILIES RUN TOGETHER DISCOUNT
The Basics:
Simply enough, if you and your family member(s) want to run together, you can signup together for the same distance, and save some money. But you have to stay together during the whole race (until someone out kicks someone at the end anyway)! This is all about encouraging you all to create awesome memories with your loved ones.
The Details:
Simply fill out the form, then give us a few days to reply with a code. You can use the one code for your whole family.
We cannot add this discount for you after you have registered, you must use it as you register.
This discount applies to the 5k distance and longer.
As much as we want to, you won’t be able to use this discount along with any other discounts (such as the already discounted Youth 17 & Under pricing, the Capt’n Karl’s entire series discount, or bundled races).
NO SWAG OPTION = SAVE $
The Basics:
Already have plenty of medals and shirts from races? We aren’t offended.
Choose the new “No Swag” option and we’ll reduce your reg fees by $12.
You still get everything at the race aside from the race shirt / hat or finisher medal.
The Details:
Scroll to the bottom of the garment options on the online reg options. Click on the choice “No Swag”.
Once onsite, your bib will be marked, but please remind the volunteers at the finish line that you don’t need a medal.
Sometimes we get good deals and have less expensive shirts and medals, other times, it costs us more. But this is a good middle ground we can afford to offer. Hope it helps you all out!
BRING YOUR GROUP, GET DISCOUNTS
The Basics:
We think training and racing with groups is awesome!
This goes for any type of group: a road running group, a Ruck team, a fitness gym, a trail running group, a road running group, a triathlon group, a Crossfit Gym, a stroller running group, running store team, running club, hiking club, corporate fitness group, whatever team, club or training crew you love and workout with.
Get your crew to cover an aid station or the finish line at any of our races.
We will give your group a discount code to use for that race or our other races.
Group Leaders can encourage your group to target that event as a fitness goal, and enjoy some camaraderie that could go a long ways with your coaching or training organization.
We also are allowing non-professional group leaders into this category. So if you started an informal jogging group or a mom’s stroller running club, or whatever, jump on this for some cool perks!
The Details:
Group Leaders email us fun@tejastrails.com and let us know you are planning to bring a crew.
If you’re not the main leader, let your group’s coach/manager/owner/trainer/etc. know what’s up.
We will solidify which spot we need your crew and let you know the associated timeframes.
Your group can also enjoy some onsite promotion at no cost. We will work with you to get you a good booth spot and you can hand out material, offer services, and get to know new potential clientele.
FIRST REGISTRANTS GET HUGE DISCOUNTS
The Basics:
Since you can now register early and not worry about what happens if you can’t make it closer to the race, we’re further tempting you by offering the first registrants better pricing. It's a Race to Register!
The Details:
We open up registration for our races at a few different times of the year.
For the summer reg opening, typically in June, the first registrants get the best discounts.
But we'll be sure everyone gets a great special rate as long as you register the first few days we open up reg.
