5 Mile . 20km . 40km .
4K Hill Challenge . 1 Mile Kid Classic
October 12, 2019
This is a HARD and CHALLENGING course NOT designed for your first trail race. It's suggested that you have at least run the distance prior to running the GG. The course is slow with a lot of OFF TRAIL uphill slogging. If you can go faster than 4 miles an hour on this course, you should consider turning pro.
This is not a beginners trail event. If you like the mountains, very tough terrain, rocks, cactus, and risking your life for glory, then you will dig this course.
Each ~4 mile loop can easily take 60-90 mins and possibly even up to 2 hours.
CARRY WATER and pack A BUNCH. Our suggestion is to plan for at least 24 ounces per hour.
3000' of climbing in 20K
3 independent loops - first loop is hard, 2nd loop is brutal, 3rd loop is a bit faster
1 aid station at the start/finish line, all in the same place, hit b/w each loop
2 Loops of the 20km route, for a goaty good time
Run the hardest 5 mile section on the course and be done
320' of vertical
2.5 miles total / 4K

Closest Smaller Towns = Comfort, Boerne, Fredricksburg
Closest Bigger Cities = San Antonio, Austin
A short drive from San Antonio, near the small town of Comfort,
this course is truly a one of a kind! More like a "fell" race over the pond where you point straight uphill and go!
To call this course technical is an understatement; be prepared for a lot of off trail "running".
The hardest short race in Texas. Hands down.
