Tejas Trails has several challenges that require you to race multiple events.
They each provide a unique and life-altering experience, as well as great awards.
The list of finishers of these challenges is not very long, as the challenges are each very tough.
The first & last allowable races vary from challenge to challenge. Please read below carefully.
You must obtain an official finish at each event for it to count (finish before cut-off, etc.)
Finishes must be from 5 of these events:
J&J Race - 50 mile
Cactus Rose - 50 mile
Wild Hare - 50 mile
Rocky 50 (following year) - 50 mile
Hells Hills (following year) - 50 mile
Pandora (following year) - 52.4 mile
Complete the ‘Tejas Challenge Finish’ form above before your 4th race letting us know you're close.
You must obtain an official finish at each event for it to count (finish before cut-off, etc.).
At least one finish must be from a 100 miler.
Finishes must be from 3 of these events:
J&J Race - 100 km
Cactus Rose - 100 mile
Bandera (following year) - 100 km
Rocky Raccoon (following year) - 100 mile or 100 km

All events with a 50k or longer are a part of the Tejas 400 list of choices.
You must complete at least 400 total miles in a calendar year (First chance = Bandera, Last chance = Wild Hare)
The other miles may be accumulated in any combination.
Only finished distances beyond 26.2 miles (an ultra distance marathon) may be used in your accumulation of miles toward this award.
You will be awarded the number of miles you finished as long as you finish more than 26.2 miles.
Only officially recorded chip-timed lap splits count. In other words, if you pull out at an aid station somewhere out on course, you will not get the mileage at that aid station. It will be from the timing mat.
It's up to you to keep up with your mileage & complete the ‘Tejas Challenge Finish’ form above at least one event before you think you're going to accomplish the goal.
Complete the ‘Tejas Challenge Finish’ form above explaining that you are attempting the challenge sometime before the J&J Race.
You must complete the 60km course before final cutoff.
You must complete all 4 CK series races in one summer (cannot combine two years or more together).
Simply email the RD (Brad@TejasTrails.com) before the final event of the season to let him know you're attempting the challenge.
