Live Splits & Results Updates may be intermittent as the main race hub is remote and without cell signal.
A Tinaja (/tɪˈnɑːhə/) is rock formation that has been eroded by water over a long period of time, that then can store ever-so-important water in arid environments. With all it's waterfalls, streams, rivers, springs & moving water; Colorado Bend is notorious for these incredible formations.
Tinajas is the perfect name for this event. This trail running experience has been created to offer participants a beautiful & difficult trail reality. Just like the Tinaja out in the wild, we hope this weekend provides you with something magnificent...giving you something you need. A break from the complexities of everyday occurrences, reminding you to notice the simple & soulful aspects of life. Join us for the morning, or for the whole weekend. Several distances to choose from. Many stories to tell afterward!
Like Cactus Rose, this race has NO Aid Station support.
We will have Ice, Water & Shelter at each Aid Station. But that's it. This is all about you taking care of yourself & the other runners out there.
It's beautifully simplistic!
We will have Medical Staff & Amenities at the Start/Finish Area.
Please Read The Race Doc Before Registering
Also, please note, this park will require all spectators to pay a small fee to enter the park. We take the $10 for the park upon your online registration for all racers. But all non-racers will need to pay at the gate. That fee will be good for the entire weekend. Even though it's a requirement, please consider it a cool way to support an amazing piece of Texas history, and the park's staff to maintain a very special set of trails!
