Robt Heynen
Coach : 2009 Palo Duro, 2010 Bandera, Night Running
Rob't Heynen started trail running in the late 1990's and has since completed numerous trail races with distances ranging anywhere from 30 km to 100 miles. His favorite distance is either 50 miles or 100km (distances that he considers sane), but he is still intrigued by mountain 100 milers. Rob't also logged countless volunteer hours at trail races, and is very experienced in the "behind the scenes" aspect of races.

Rob't just had a couple of phenomenal coaching seasons. He has successfully coached Bandera and Sunmart classes for the last two years, as well as trained runners for Tahoe Rim, Bighorn, Rocky Raccoon 100, Jemez Mountains and most recently Palo Duro 20K-50K-50mi Trail Runs, at which his runners had a tremendously high finish rate. Rob't also has coached an introductory class.

Rob't is a former President of the Austin Runners Club and is currently President of the Hill Country Trail Runners. He is certified in Wilderness First Aid by Wilderness Medicine Institute and is a member of American College of Sports Medicine. He is a Certified Personal Trainer - AFPA. He has a certification in Plant Based Nutrition through Cornell, and he is currently enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
