Drop Bags
There are only two aid stations and they are within 50 feet of each others as the support crew goes. For the runner, they are 3.5 miles apart. Anyway, it is very easy for the runner to put his own gear in both places when he arrives on race morning to run. Simply drop your own bags before you start and then pick them up when you are done. Bring anything you want. Because we dont have to haul it... it is wide open!
Crews
Same answer as drop bags. Support can only be given at these two stations.
Parking
There is plenty of parking near the start.
Pacers
Pacers are allowed to start anytime after 2:00 PM regardless of the race from either aid station, but only one pacer at a time per runner. Please allow your runner to carry their own gear. You should only be there for encouragement and to help the runner find their way. (ie: No Mule-ing)
Dogs
The ranch does allow dogs, but they are not allowed in either of the aid stations. If you must bring your dog, keep it on a leash and away from either aid station.
Packet Pickup
Friday from 6:00PM til 7:00PM and again on race morning.
Cutoffs
The final cutoff is 8:00PM (14 hours) This is the cutoff for all events, 50mi, 50km, 25km, 10km.
--- Cutoff Times ---
6:00 PM You must start the final loop by this time.
8:00 PM Final - Race is closed ... must be done by now.
Aid Station Food & Drink
The aid stations have all the basics: water, gatorade, coke, salted items in pretzels and chips, sugars in candies, plus cookies, and pb&j sandwiches. Also, we usually find some fresh fruits such as oranges, bananas, and melons, depending on the weather.

Volunteers
You have heard this a million times, but it becomes more apparent when you get closer to the event... we cannot put this event on without volunteers. They really are the key to the quality and safety of this event. We get great help and there is always a need for more. If you want to give us an hour or more, there is something we can use you for. But even if you just show up, we may also find something for you to do. And Thanks for helping.
Camping
Contact Bluff Creek Ranch (Jon 979-242-5894) There are showers, bathrooms, and electrical hookups at the ranch.
Direction
Bluff Creek Ranch is off the beaten path so make certain you have the details of the directions and turns before you leave home. It is off the major highway and then off the side road as well. You might could find it accidentally, but I doubt it. Copy the directions and bring them with you. Once you find the town of Warda, which is just a bump in the road, then you must find Owl Creek Rd. Once on that, you are pretty close.
Post race
We will be cooking burgers and plan to have a small tub of ice for beers. We cannot provide beer but if all of you bring a few, we can certainly share and have a big ol time. There are showers at the finish. Bring a chair, a cooler, and a smile for the post race festivities.
Sponsors
This race was created and directed by Joe & Joyce Prusaitis of Tejas Trails.
